Our Privacy Policy addresses the types of information that we collect relative to two groups of our website users: Those who visit our site for informational purposes only and those who become customers of our company by ordering products and services. Site Visitors

Just like any other online retailer, we collect information on traffic to our site. While this information is anonymous and is aggregated into a large pool of information, never is there any attempt to discover the personal identity of a visitor. These are the types of information we collect:

Customers

When a visitor becomes a customer, by placing an order for products or services, we do have to have some personal information. We will ask for a full name, an email address, and a telephone number. The reasons for this are as follows:

1. We need to confirm any order with that customer.
2. We may need to contact that customer to ask questions or to give important information regarding his/her order. We will phone or text only in emergency situations; otherwise, we will contact a customer via email or the messaging system on the customer’s account page. The account messaging system is used for the customer and writer to communicate as well.
3. We also use the customer’s email address to send newsletters and notifications of special promotions. The customer may always opt out of such mailings by following the “unsubscribe” instructions on each mailing. Customer email addresses are never sold to or shared with anyone else.

How We Protect Customer Identifying Information

When personal information is provided, it is immediately encrypted for customer privacy. Staff and writers will only know a customer by his/her first name and an identification number provided by the company. We have the latest technology in place to protect customer information, and our policy is never to reveal the identities of any customers who order products or services from us. The only exception to this rule is an incident of fraud and/or other cybercrime. In these situations, we will cooperate with all law enforcement agencies.

Protection of Customer Financial Information

Of course, customers are always concerned when they provide their credit card and/or other banking information to an online retailer. First, the look for that little padlock to ensure that the payment process is fully secure. You will find such a lock on our site. When you make payment for an order, you are automatically re-directed to a third party processor – a processor that issued by a huge number of online retailers and that has update SSL certification. We do not have access to your financial information, so there is never a chance that any staff member of our company could possibly use it.

We have a contracted investigatory company, should this situation ever arise, although to date we have never had such a breach. You just need to know that our policy stops as soon as you leave our site, and you are “on your own.”
